50th Anniversary ‘PLANT A TREE’ Project

In conjunction with ORIX Leasing Malaysia (“OLM”) Berhad's 50th Anniversary, the Company held its ‘Plant A Tree’ Project on 4 March 2023 to state its commitment to environmental stewardship as part of the corporate social responsibility activities under its environmental, social, and governance initiative.

Shin Hamada, President of OLM Group, together with the top management, officiated this event at the National Botanical Garden Shah Alam (“NBGSA”), which was attended by a total of 102 employees from OLM Group as well as representatives from NBGSA.

In his speech, Hamada said, “The ‘Plant A Tree’ Project is one of the ways we are giving back to Mother Earth and ensuring that we have a future to inspire. Trees play a crucial role in the ecosystem, and we are proud to be contributing to their growth and sustainability. This project is just the beginning of our efforts to be more environmentally responsible as a company.”

“But beyond today's event, we want to take a more continuous and holistic approach to doing our part for Mother Earth. We want to make sustainability a part of our corporate culture and incorporate it into everything we do. This means looking beyond one-off initiatives and making it a part of our long-term strategy.”

“As a responsible citizen of this planet, we believe it is our duty to help protect the environment for future generations. We are committed to making a positive impact on the world and leaving a better planet for our children. We believe that small actions can have a significant impact when they are done collectively. This is why we are calling on everyone to join us in our efforts to protect the environment. We invite everyone to make a pledge to do their part, no matter how small, in protecting the planet.”

OLM Group hopes that this initiative will inspire other companies and individuals to take action and do their part to protect the environment. Together, we can make a difference and create a brighter future for ourselves and generations to come.
